About
I’m Sean Bergman — a builder, learner, and explorer at the intersection of AI and software engineering.
What I’m Working On
LibTrails — A semantic book discovery platform that reveals hidden thematic connections across literature. It uses LLM-powered topic extraction, vector embeddings, and community detection algorithms (Leiden) to organize 121,000+ topics from 100 Project Gutenberg classics into a navigable 3D galaxy of ideas.
What I Write About
- AI & LLMs — Building with Claude Code, prompt engineering, agentic workflows
- RAG & Embeddings — Retrieval-augmented generation, hybrid search, vector databases
- Graph Algorithms — Community detection, Louvain, Leiden, network analysis, UMAP
- Building in Public — The honest story of shipping projects, what works, what doesn’t
The Stack
This blog is built with Astro and hosted on AWS Lightsail. The source of truth is markdown files that become static HTML at build time — fast, simple, and cheap to host.
